Polarcus awarded seismic project offshore UK

Dubai: Oslo-listed seismic vessel owner Polarcus has said it has signed a letter of intent with an unnamed client to conduct a 3D marine seismic project in the UK Continental Shelf.

The project, which will utilise a broadband data acquisition technique, is expected to commence in the second quarter of this year subject to the service contract being executed. It is expected for the data acquisition to take 25 days, with an option exisiting for a second 16 day project immediately after completion.

It has been a good month for Polarcus, who were awared a contract earlier in the month for a 3D marine seismic project offshore Egypt.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
