Price starts at Wallem Ship Management

Hong Kong: David Price has started in the role of managing director at Wallem Ship Management today, becoming the second former V.Ships executive to join the Hong Kong manager this year.

Wallem Group ceo Simon Doughty said Price, who previously headed up V.Ships in Cyrpus, commented: “Shipping is a constantly changing world, and a very competitive one, so to continue to deliver what our clients and stakeholders want today and predict their future needs, we have combined the right people and expertise.”

Earlier this year, V.Ships ex-point man in China, Mingfa Liu, joined Wallem as managing director of Wallem Ship Management China. Liu had quit V.Ships 18 months previous to become Teekay’s chief China represantive.

Starting out with the Informa Group in 2000 in Hong Kong, Sam Chambers became editor of Maritime Asia magazine as well as East Asia Editor for the world’s oldest newspaper, Lloyd’s List.
