Primorsk fleet sale approved

A bankruptcy judge in New York yesterday approved the $215m sale of Primorsk International Shipping fleet of nine ice class tankers to SCF Tankers, an affiliate of Russia’s largest shipping company, Sovcomflot.

SCF bid $215m for the fleet, beating Hafnia Tankers’ $208m bid at an auction in London.

Primorsk International Shipping filed for chapter 11 protection in January.
