Singapore: Sembcorp Marine’s Jurong Shipyard and Prosafe have finalized a deal for a second harsh-environment accommodation semi-submersible accommodation rig. Delivery of the rig, which will be named Safe Zephyrus, is scheduled around year-end 2014.
The $350m unit will have the capacity to accommodate 450 persons in single man cabins.
The deal comes with options for two more units, and it still has an existing option from its December 2011 order. [19/11/12]
