PTT eyes Dawei

Bangkok: Interest among Thai firms in the future megaport of Dawei in Myanmar continues to rev up.  Energy firm PTT has said it might build depots for LNG and LPG there as future demand for the two fuel types in Thailand is expected to double this decade.

The giant port complex, in which the Japanese have said they are keen to invest, would cost around Baht350bn, according to an estimate by the National Economic and Social Development Board.  [24/01/13]
