RBD Armatori’s capesize en route to Navios

Naples-based RBD Armatori looks like it is about to sell one of the four capsize bulk carriers in its fleet. Market sources reports that 2010-built Cavaliere Grazia Bottiglieri seems to have been sold to undisclosed buyers for $27.5m. The sale follows the three panamax bulk carriers sold at auction a few days ago for $16m each.

Following a request for confirmation from Splash no comments came from the Italian shipping company. Sources however reveal that the unidentified buyer of the capesize is Greece’s Navios but the deal is not closed yet.

This series of sales from RBD Armatori are part of the company’s restructuring first announced in 2015.
