Rustibus: Gearing up for new safety product launch

Bekkjarvik: Norwegian marine equipment manufacturer Rustibus is gearing up for an important new product launch due in one month.

“We are looking at adding another Norwegian product associated with safety,” Tore Dalseide, chairman of the family-run firm tells Maritime CEO.

Together with MDG Norway Rustibus is gearing up to promote what Dalseide claims is a “revolutionary” active oil spill recovery system to be officially launched at Singapore’s Sea Asia show this April.

Dalseide says his company is also looking at setting up two joint ventures this year too, without specifying what these might entail.

“2013 will be a hectic and challenging year but very crucial for both our medium and long term aspirations,” he says.

Rustibus has been providing its patented chain based solution for surface preparation in the marine industry for over 30 years.

Prior to the April launch, Rustibus’ other new product on the market has been an Atex/Ex certified pneumatic series of mechanical descaling machines that can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres – “the first and only one in the market,” stresses Dalseide.  [11/03/13]
