Sainty Marine sued by fishing vessel owner over collision damage

Sainty Marine has announced that the private shipowner of a fishing vessel has filed a lawsuit against the company in Qingdao Maritime Court.

The court is currently reviewing the case where the fishing boat owner claimed that Sainty Marine bulker carrier Hua Jin Xin collided with his fishing vessel Lu Rong Yu 51609 on April 2 this year, and seeks compensation of RMB1.07m ($168.2k).

Sainty Marine is currently working on a rescue plan for the shipyard and dealing with dozens of the court cases. It is facing the risk of delisting if China Securities Regulatory Commission finds illegal operation activities at the company.
