Samudera Shipping offloads another

Indonesian owner Samudera Shipping continues its plans to offload older vessels by selling the Sinar Emas, an 18-year-old oil tanker.

The vessel was sold to an unnamed third party for a price of $6.9m, with proceeds to be used for working capital and business expansion.

Sinar Emas is one of six ships Samudera announced it would sell last year with a view to exiting the Indonesian domestic shipping scene.
