Sembawang Shipyard forms jvs with Ecospec

Singapore: Sembcorp Marine has taken further steps to further its green construction credentials with Sembawang Shipyard forming three subsidiaries in Singapore. The yard will hold 55% of the equity interest in Semb-Eco which in turn owns 100% of the equity interest in both Semb-Eco R&D and Semb-Eco Technology.

The establishment of these three subsidiaries is to continue to co-develop, manufacture and sell green products with its strategic partner, Ecospec Global Technology, to the marine, offshore and onshore industries. The green products include gas scrubbers for ships trading in Emission Control Area (ECA) zones and onshore power plants, and Ballast Water Treatment Systems.  [24/09/14]
