Shanghai Ansheng Automotive Shipping to order two newbuilds

Chinese car shipping specialist Shanghai Ansheng Automotive Shipping has announced it will order two 2,300 ceu pure car carriers as part of its fleet expansion plans.

The company has invited tenders from domestic shipyards for the construction of the vessels. Shipyards are requested to submit the bid before the deadline of January 2 and it is expected the shipyard complete the construction of the two ships within 13 months.

Shanghai Ansheng Automotive Shipping is the shipping subsidiary of Anji Logistics, and focuses on domestic coastal and river car shipping. The company currently operates a fleet of 21 car carriers with an annual shipping capacity of 1m cars.
