Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry signs six 1,100 teu boxships

CSIC-affiliated Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry has signed shipbuilding contracts with Dalian Jifa Ship Management and Dalian Port Wantong Logistics for the construction of two 1,100 teu containerships plus four options.

The vessels will be deployed in domestic coastal and Yangtze River markets. Delivery will start in 2016.

Dalian Port Wantong Logistics is a fully owned subsidiary of Dalian Port Group, it mainly operates domestic shipping services.

Dalian Jifa Ship Management is a joint venture between Dalian Port Group and Dalian Jifa Bohai Rim Container Lines.
