Shell Brasil extends contract for MODEC FPSO

Shell Brasil Petróleo has extended its contract with Japan’s MODEC for the operations & maintenance of FPSO Fluminense.

The contract has been extended effective from August 2016 through to December 2020.

FPSO Fluminense is operating in the Bijupirá & Salema oil fields in the Campos Basin off the coast of Brazil, moored in water depths of approximately 740m. It is capable of processing 81,000 barrels of oil and 75 MM standard cubic feet of gas per.

FPSO Fluminense is a converted ULCC tanker and has been contracted to Shell Brasil since August 2003.
