Shenghang Shipping plans to order tanker

Chinese domestic tanker operator Nanjing Shenghang Shipping is planning to order a 5,000 dwt tanker to operate within the chemical and petroleum shipping business domestically, and has received approval from the Ministry of Transport to do so.

The company plans to order the vessel within the next year.

Shenghang Shipping is currently planning an IPO and it has submitted an application with the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Shenghang Shipping mainly operates in the domestic petrochemical shipping business with a fleet of 12 tankers.
