Shreyas adds two more boxships

Mumbai: Fast expanding Indian boxline Shreyas Shipping and Logistics has added two more ships to its fleet. Shreyas, a subsidiary of Dubai’s Transworld Group, has added a 700 teu and a 3,000 teu ship to its fleet. Shreyas’s fleet now stands at eight ships.

“Shreyas plans to operate both newly acquired vessels on the Indian coast thereby plying all its eight container vessels, with a total capacity of 11,954 teu and 168,400 dwt, for coastal shipping,” said Ramesh Ramakrishnan, chairman of Transworld Group. Ramakrishnan added the shipping line would soon enter Bangladeshi trades too.

The company has plans to add two more ships in the next 12 months.
