Shreyas Shipping & Logistics adds to fleet

Mumbai: India’s Shreyas Shipping & Logistics has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire 700-teu containership Hub Gallardo (11,506 dwt, built 1998) from Hub Shipping (HUBLine) in Malaysia.

Shreyas, a subsidiary of Transworld Group, will pay $2.9m for the vessel to bring its fleet size up to seven vessels.

Last week the company signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire 2,959-teu containership OEL Bharat (34,670 dwt, built 1997) from Singapore-based sister company Orient Express Lines (OEL) for $7m.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
