Siem Offshore takes remaining stake in Siem Meling Offshore

Norwegian offshore operator Siem Offshore has announced a plan to acquire the 49% ownership in Siem Meling Offshore DA (SMODA) from its joint venture partner O.H. Meling.

Upon completion of the deal, Siem Offshore will own 100% of SMODA.

As part of the transaction, the platform supply vessel Siddis Mariner has been sold by SMODA to a company owned by O.H. Meling.

SMODA will continue to own the 2010-built platform supply vessel Siem Pilot, which will start a four year contract offshore Canada in July this year.
