Signs of hope in November port figures

Beijing: In a hopeful sign as the year nears its end the Ministry of Transport has just released port figures for November, and they are the strongest of 2012 to date. Total cargo throughput of China’s ports increased by 8.7% year-on year to 8.4m tons for last month. The growth rate of November is the highest in the first eleven months of the year, the ministry confirmed.
From January to November, cargo throughput of China’s ports hit 8.91bn in total, an increase of 6.9% from the same period of last year. [26/12/12]
