Singapore shipping charity drive

Singapore: Two well-known maritime firms in Singapore are taking divergent paths to raise money for charity, one opting for a sedentary route and the other a more strenuous workout.

Mark Robertshaw, who heads up recruitment company Fastream’s Singapore operations, has joined Movember, the charity rush to grow a moustache in November for a good cause. Mark’s hirsute efforts are in aid of the Singapore Cancer Society. You can contribute here:  http://sg.movember.com/mospace/4889437

Elsewhere, three members from offshore brokers M3 Marine are taking part in the Sailors' Society Asian Challenge 2013.

This event sees teams of three from across the shipping industry take on the mighty climb of Mount Kinabalu (4,095m). Donate to this worthy cause here: http://www.justgiving.com/m3-marine  [05/11/12]
