Sinotrans Shipping planning energy-saving newbuilds


Hong Kong: Due to current operating conditions, Sinotrans Shipping plans to order new energy saving bulk ships of between 30,000 to 60,000dwt, Li Hua, deputy managing director of Sinotrans Shipping said on Thursday.
Currently, the total capacity of the company’s fleet is 3.34m dwt with an average ship age of 9.2 years. With sufficient cash reserves and low newbuilding prices, the company is ready to order now, Li said. 
Sinotrans Shipping has no newbuilding orders at present.  [24/08/12]
