Solvang orders ethylene carriers

Solvang and partners have today signed a letter of intent with South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for the construction of two firm and two optional 21,000 cu m ethylene carriers for delivery in the first half of 2019.

The final agreement is subject to satisfactory technical specifications and contractual terms, with a deadline set for late March this year.

The ships are designed for the future with full exhaust gas cleaning and Tier III compliance, giving high flexibility with regards to existing and future environmental regulations,” Solvang noted in a release to the Oslo Bors.
