Songa Bulk acquires panamax from Mitsubishi

Arne Blystad’s Songa Bulk has continued to expand its bulker fleet, with the company taking the 2010-built panamax bulker Midland Sky from Japan’s Mitstubishi Corporation.

Broking sources revealed that the 81,500 dwt vessel was sold for $18m.

Songa Bulk has been active in the secondhand market since an initial capital raising exercise last year, building up its dry bulk fleet at what it describes as historically low levels.
