South Sulawesi port development

Jakarta: Details of a new Indonesian port have been revealed, the latest in a slew of terminal developments under the new administration of President Joko.

A $300m port will be built in the Bantaeng Industrial Park in South Sulawesi. Located by the Flores Sea construction of the 200 ha is set to finish in two years time.

Private companies, including from Japan and China, are expected to bid to build and operate the port.
