Sovcomflot back at Samsung Heavy for another shuttle tanker

Sovcomflot has returned to favoured Korean yard Samsung Heavy Industries for another shuttle tanker. The 42,000 dwt ice class ship will be deployed at Novy Port on the Yamal peninsula when it delivers in October, 2019 where the line is working with Gazprom.

Sovcomflot took three similar ships from Samsung Heavy last year. The line added the extra ship on the back of Gazprom upping its estimates of oil production output at an oilfield near Murmansk.
