Stolt-Nielsen secures $250m financing from AIG

Oslo: Norwegian operator Stolt-Nielsen Limited has closed a private placement with American International Group to raise $250m .

The placement has a term of 10 years and has been secured using the company’s terminal in Houston. The funds will be used to repay existing debts and for general corporate purposes, the company said in a statement on Oslo Bors.

Stolt-Nielsen recently released its results for 2014, reported a net profit of $78.1m from revenues of $2,137.9m, down from a net profit of $81.8m in 2013.
