Dubai: The strike by truck owners who shift oil from the port of Aqaba to an oil refinery in Zarqa has entered into its sixth day. There are now concerns that local supplies of oil are set to be cut off if the strike continues.
Two tankers are now sitting offshore Aqaba waiting to unload their cargoes. The dispute is over fees and despite meetings yesterday between the truckers and local authorities there is no sign of an agreement being reached.
