Suardiaz and Sarda Bunkers invest in new bunker vessels

Spanish shipping company Suardiaz has finalised an order for three bunker vessels capable of transporting traditional fuels and LNG. Juan Riva, ceo of the Madrid-based company, told Splash: “The order has been signed with Astilleros Zamakona.”

Another bunker supplier active in the Mediterranean basin has also renewed its fleet. The Naples-based Sarda Bunkers, part of the Garolla Group, has purchased the small tanker vessel renamed SB Alisea which was built by Indian shipyard Modest Infrastructure in 2011. The double hull, 1,500 dwt capacity vessel was subject to some upgrading works in Italy and has just entered into service in the port of Naples and Salerno.
