Sugar refinery fire causes environmental catastrophe

Doha: The fire that ripped through a sugar refinery at Jeddah Islamic Port has caused significant environmental problems with the drainage of the burnt sludge killing a vast number of fish. The crisis also has seen a number of trucks fail to get into the port as stagnant water around the burnt out site has been deemed a health risk.  [30/06/13]
