Swiber gets $100m subsea installation contract in south Asia

Singapore’s Swiber is to provide engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPIC) services for an unnamed national oil company in south Asia after winning a contract worth $100m.

The project comprises pipeline and subsea installation work, which will begin “immediately” and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2017, Swiber said today.

“We are pleased to have clinched yet another project for our long-time and valued client. Despite challenging market conditions, we believe that our strategy of establishing long-term relationships with our clients and our track record of completing our projects in a timely, cost-efficient manner have paid off,” said Francis Wong, Swiber’s group CEO and president.
