Swire Seabed takes Siem Offshore OSCV on two-year charter

Norway’s Siem Offshore has sealed a bareboat charter for offshore subsea construction vessel Siem Stingray.

Subsea contractor Swire Seabed has taken the vessel for a period of two years firm and has options to extend the charter for up to an additional one year.

Swire Seabed plans to operate the vessel in the IMR, construction support and renewable sectors focused on the North European and West African markets.

The 2014-built vessel will be renamed Seabed Stingray and commence the new contract in the first quarter of 2018.

In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
