Tanker Investments says second-hand suezmaxes delayed

Oslo: Newly established Tanker Investment has said that six second-hand suezmax tankers it had acquired last year for delivery in the first half of this year, are now scheduled to be delivered to the company in the early part of the third quarter.

The six vessels where purchased for a total of $315m in December 2014 from Cardiff Marine, and were constructed at Rongsheng Heavy Industries in China.

The reason for the delay is unknown, and upon delivery the vessels will trade in the Gemini suezmax pool.

Canadian Teekay Corporation and its subsidiary Teekay Tankers set up the Oslo listed company last year.
