TNG fixes tanker on timecharter

Croatia’s Tankerska Next Generation (TNG) has fixed one of its MR chemical/products tankers on a one-year timecharter to an undisclosed counterparty, commencing once the vessel is redelivered from Stena Weco in September.

The Croatia-built Velebit (52,600 dwt, built 2011) was fixed at a daily rate of $18,500.

“We are very pleased to announce Tankerska Next Generation Inc. has concluded a time charter for MT Velebit which strongly grips our view on market conditions while allowing employment in direct continuation offering maximum utilization of the ship. This repeated success overcomes the level of fixtures achieved earlier this year and the planned level during the initial public offering,” commented John Karavanid, president of the management board.

TNG’s IPO is scheduled for February 2016.
