Oslo: Arild Vik is leaving his position as chief executive and chief financial officer of Aberdeen-based KNOT Offshore Partners.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to extend our gratitude for the great work he has done for the partners,” said Trygve Seglem, the chairman of the board, in a statement.
Vik was responsible for the listing of KNOT Offshore Partners on the New York Stock Exchange some years back. The listing resulted in a doubling of its fleet.
Vik is resigning in order to pursue other interests. He will work through to the end of July.
KNOT Offshore Partners currently own and operate a fleet of eight modern shuttle tankers focusing on long-term charters.
