Wilson snaps up bulker pair from Vertom

Oslo: Norwegian short sea operator Wilson has acquired two 2,500 dwt bulk vessels from Dutch company Vertom.

The two vessels, MV Celine (2,500 dwt, built 2005) and MV Maxime (2,500 dwt, built 2005), were purchased for a total of €4.35m ($4.8m).

The pair, which will be renamed, will bring the fleet size of Wilson up to 112 vessels, 85 of them owned.

Wilson also has three 2,600 dwt bulk carriers on order at Wuxue Janda Shipbuilding fin China, due for delivery in 2016.
