Wisdom Marine acquires handysize bulker

Taiwanese bulker owner Wisdom Marine has sealed a deal to acquire a 38,000 dwt secondhand bulk carrier.

Wisdom will pay $23.5m for the handysize vessel from an undisclosed buyer.

Additionally, Wisdom Marine Group has replenished $38.6m capital into subsidiary Wisdom Marine Lines for vessel acquisitions.

In September, Wisdom Marine cancelled its plan to enter tanker sector with the cancellation of two 115,000 dwt aframax tankers at Japan Marine United.

The company currently operates a dry bulk fleet of around 120 vessels.
