Wisdom Marine orders kamsarmax pair at Japan Marine United

Taiwanese bulker owner Wisdom Marine has approved a plan to order two 82,400 dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers at Japanese yard Japan Marine United for $34m each as part of its fleet expansion plans.

The latest order follows the company ordering two 61,000 dwt bulkers at Kawasaki Heavy Industries in December and two 37,800 dwt bulkers at Imabari Shipbuilding at the end of January.

Wisdom Marine currently operates a fleet of 125 vessels, with another nine under construction at Japanese yards.
