Wisdom Marine orders two bulkers at Imabari Shipbuilding

Taiwanese dry bulk owner Wisdom Marine has approved a plan to order two 37,800 dwt bulk carriers at Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding at $24.5m each.

The deal is part of Wisdom Marine’s ongoing fleet expansion plans. In December, the company ordered two 61,000 dwt bulk carriers at Japan’s Kawasaki Heavy Industries.

Wisdom Marine currently operates a fleet of 125 bulkers and it has another 10 newbuildings under construction at Japanese yards.
