Wood Group wins contract with Statoil and Sinochem in Brazil

Wood Group Mustang has won a contract to provide detailed engineering, design and procurement services to Statoil and Sinochem’s joint venture South Atlantic Holding at the Peregrino field in offshore Brazil.

The project will lay the groundwork for development of wellhead platform C, for which Wood Group Mustang completed the front-end engineering and design in 2015.

Previously, it also designed wellhead platforms A and B.

“Wood Group Mustang’s proven ability to deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions was a key enabler to obtaining the contract,” said Michele McNichol, the company’s CEO.

Wood Group PSN is providing operations, maintenance and modification services for the existing wellhead platforms at the Peregrino field, and modification services for the floating production storage and offloading facility.
