Yemen’s Mukalla set for redevelopment

Doha: The governing body of the local council in the Yemeni province of Hadramout discussed in its meeting today headed by Governor Khalid Saeed Al Dien a plan to develop the port of Mukalla and expand its facilities in order to accommodate the increasing trade traffic in the province.

At the meeting, the administrative body briefed on the Arab Sea Ports Corporation of Yemen’s plan to develop and improve the performance of the port and the implementation of several projects to expand its facilities in addition to various efforts and ongoing steps to operate a shipping line between the ports of Mukalla and Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman.  [06/05/13]
