Zhejiang Ouhua wins order for 2,700 teu pair from Cape Shipping

Chinese shipbuilder Zhejiang Ouhua has won an order for two 2,700 teu containerships from Greece’s Cape Shipping. The two ships are scheduled for delivery in 2019. No price has been revealed for the contract.

Cape Shipping was formed in Athens in 1987 with an initial focus on dry bulk. In 2014 it moved into containership owning.

Ouhua’s 2,700 teu Ruby design, which it started marketing with Germany’s DS Neptune four years ago, has proven very popular.
