ZIM vows to become a digital leader within shipping

Israeli containerline ZIM has vowed to become a “digital leader” within the shipping industry. To this end, the line has just appointed Liav Geffen to become its first ever chief digital officer. Geffen spent the previous eight years working at Israel’s third largest insurance group where he fostered the use of data, analytics and digital engagement with customers‫.

ZIM president and CEO Eli Glickman said: “The new Digital Unit in ZIM will drive the digital transformation the company has already embarked upon. We intend to foster innovation and technology across the board, impacting every aspect of our operations. Our vision is to combine top-notch technological solutions with a personal and dedicated service to our customers‫.”
