香港：东方海外宣布公司与三星重工签订了六艘20，000标箱集装箱船建造合同，总价格为9.561亿美元。
公司预计近期从银行融资70%的造船资金，公司表示新船将提高公司的运营效率和盈利能力。
这六艘船预计在2017年交付。
继马士基航运在2011年订购20艘18，000标箱集装箱船之后，中海集运，长荣，MOL，达飞都订购了18，000到20，000标箱集装箱船，东方海外成为了最新一家加入大型集装箱船队伍的公司。
