上海：天津海运宣布公司更名为天津天海投资发展有限公司，公司正在寻求业务多样化。
同时，公司的主营业务还增加了石油运输，LNG运输和投资咨询。
天津海运2014年12月宣布公司将使用筹集资金中4亿美元用于订购四艘超大油轮，公司计划订购十艘超大油轮和四艘LNG运输船。公司已经与大船重工签订了四艘LNG运输船的建造意向书。
