纽约上市的中国电商巨头阿里巴巴正在考虑投资汽车运输船以支持其新成立的汽车业务部门。
新汽车业务部门在今年4月成立，整合全部汽车相关资产，为车主提供O2O服务，包括新车和二手车交易，当地服务和汽车融资。
阿里巴巴汽车事业部总经理王立成表示公司计划实现每年300,000辆车的销量，一半来自上海。
如果销量达到预期，阿里巴巴计划投资1至2艘5000车位汽车滚装船解决物流瓶颈，王表示。
王透露去年阿里巴巴与国内汽车物流公司安吉物流，中海以及MOL进行了谈判，然而价格未能达到公司的期望。
