Hong Lam Marine acquires bunker tanker

Hong Lam Marine, Singapore’s largest bunker vessel operator, has acquired the 2013-built small clean tanker Coastal Jupiter from compatriot company Heng Tong Fuels & Shipping.

According to shipbroking sources, the 5,500dwt bunkering vessel was sold for a price of $4.5m and has been renamed Catalyse.

VesselsValue data shows Hong Lam Marine currently operates a fleet of 37 bunkering vessels.

Heng Tong Feuls and Shipping is a unit of Coastal Oil Singapore, which is currently in the process of liquidation and was hit by debt fraud allegations from Cosco in January.
