König & Cie selling four suezmax tankers

German owner König & Cie continues to downsize its fleet, having listed four of its suezmax tankers for sale.

According to shipbroking sources, the company is inviting offers for 2005 South Korean-built suezmax tankers Cape Bari, Cape Bastia, Cape Bonny and Cape Brindisi. MSI valued the vessels at $21.5m each.

König & Cie have been cutting its fleet after completing a debt restructuring in 2013. If the sale goes through, the company’s fleet will be left with six vessels, comprised of one bulker, one containership and four tankers.
