Borr Drilling secures contracts for jackup pair

Borr Drilling, in partnership with Mexican company OPEX Perforadora, has secured a contract award from Petroleos Mexicanos for offshore drilling work in Mexico.

Borr will deploy two of the company’s newbuild jackup rigs, Grid and Gersemi, to drill a total of nine offshore development wells under an integrated services model.

The contract, which is expected to commence in the middle of the year, is for an estimated period of around 18 months.

Additionally, Borr will partner with Schlumberger to provide comprehensive oilfield services and deliver an end-to-end well solution for the project.
