Sovcomflot to redeliver survey vessel to Polarcus

Dubai-based offshore survey company Polarcus has announced that Russia’s Sovcomflot has exercised an option for the redelivery of survey vessel Vyacheslav Tikhonov, originally named Polarcus Selma.

The vessel has been on bareboat charter to the Sovcomflot since it was first delivered in 2011, and the latest contract included an option for redelivery of no less than 30 days notice.

The company currently expects the vessel to be redelivered by the end of April after completion a project offshore Dubai.

“With evident signs of market improvement, the company is in dialogue with customers on various projects and will explore opportunities for the vessel over the summer season,” Polarcus said in a relase.
