TechnipFMC awarded Indonesian contract by Eni worth over $500m

Offshore services giant TechnipFMC has been awarded an integrated engineering, procurement, construction, transportation and installation contract by Eni for the Merakes project, offshore Indonesia.

The contract covers five deepwater wells and their 50-km tie back to the existing Jangkrik floating production unit in Indonesia.

Arnaud Piéton, president subsea at TechnipFMC, said the award is “an example of how through collaboration and engagement with our customer, we’re simplifying subsea field architecture, enabling long tie-backs and accelerating time to market for their production, all important drivers for Eni and Indonesia.”

TechnipFMC says the contract is worth somewhere between $500m and $1bn.
