Splosna Plovba offloading supramax pair

Slovenian owner Splosna Plovba has placed a pair of Chinese-built supramaxes on the market.

Brokers are circulating the 2010-built sister ships Trenta and Tamar, constructed at Jiangsu Hantong.

VesselsValue puts the value of the pair, which Splosna ordered in early 2008 when supramaxes were fetching upwards of $40m, at around $10.75m each.

The Tamar featured in the news in April 2017 when an explosion on the vessel lead to the death of one of its crew and severe burns to three others.

Splosna’s fleet currently consists of six bulkers, all supramaxes, and two panamax containerships.
